when we approach the task of finding an aesthetic, whether that be for moving image or stills, we can start our journey by exploring the database of the places I have already established
over the course of many years I have amassed a diverse accumulation of photographic bookmarks to places once visited; exteriors and interiors spanning collective design styles and movements
these can all reflect a descriptive narrative or harmonise with a story
below I share with you a short carousel of examples
if the atmosphere and style you are imagining isn't realised by the range of locations available to us in this collection, I may be able to initiate a new expedition to search for what you need via a brief, this may require more time, but few things can rival a bespoke solution

when exploring new territories I always pay close attention to the potential hidden within a setting
marvellous things can be unveiled from set dressing, art direction or stylized adaptation, with these creative thoughts close to mind, I try to visualise the potential outcome
shown below are some pieces of visual inspiration I have recorded so that I can develop as a scout and perceive what may not be immediately obvious
my movements can often be tracked by a trail of instagram photos that mix my reconnaissance with the edited stylisation you see here
it's sometimes not enough to just visit somewhere and note down it's features and practicalities, I want to show you the scope and the depth of potential these places have after minimal enhancement
a well composed image may spur on the inventive vision of any speculative visionary. this is the earliest form of collaboration our working relationship will manifest.
